Sneakers for Sweepers — A programme of AEKE Foundation

A good pair of shoes can change a working day.

Sneakers for Sweepers provides quality footwear and essentials to the street sweepers and sanitation workers who keep Nigerian cities clean. One pair at a time.

"Care for every step."

Why we exist

Restoring Dignity to Labour

The people who keep our cities clean walk dozens of kilometres a day. They deserve to be seen, supported and celebrated.

"A pair of shoes is small to you. It can be the world to someone whose feet have done thirty kilometres before lunch."

How it works

Three simple steps from your gift to a sweeper's morning.

01

Identify

We work with hygiene companies in the cities we serve to provide all road sweepers with comfortable footwear to enable them perform optimally.

02

Donate

You sponsor a pair, a bundle, or a whole drive. Every ₦ goes directly into programme delivery.

03

Deliver

Our team hand-delivers shoes and essentials, captures the story, and sends you photos and the field log.

Give a pair

The shortest distance between you and dignity is a pair of shoes.
